 Vito & I have been strictly focusing on phonics & WOW! Now he is able to read all on HIS OWN, go back into the text, find the answer & answer questions in FULL sentences. SUCH a huge improvement in a short amount of time! Now he is on his way to 2nd grade with a strong foundation!

This is Chantal. This year she needed a little extra help with 4th grade math. She wasn't understanding the teacher & was scared to raise her hand & ask questions. Once she started tutoring, her math grades definitely started to show an improvement & more importantly she passed her FSA! (which is something she was VERY worried about)

The improvement Yalexa has made over the last few years working with Ms.Portela has been a day and night difference. Ms.Portela's one-on-one sessions are truly incredible. Her sessions feel like 10 minutes (so my daughter states) after tutoring her interest in school has skyrocketed.I don't know what she does or how she does it but the results speak for themself.

This is Jalexy. Once she reached her 3rd grade year was the year we all had to quarantine due to COVID-19 & attend school virtually. This was especially hard for her. She was held back for 3rd grade & was afraid of taking the FSA. We made sure to study extra hard, we worked on time management skills, & her confidence. She JUST got her FSA results & she PASSED! On her way to 4th grade she goes!
